Thieving, stealing, and taking what is not theirs is what Porch Pirates do.
With Black Friday approaching Porch Pirates will be working overtime riding through Old Jefferson looking for packages to steal.
Texting with a neighbor about a package is an easy way to prevent package theft.
Either you offer to pick up your neighbor's package and stow it until they get home.
Or you text a neighbor about a package you are expecting, but during hours when you aren't home and ask them if they can grab it for you.
I've got neighbors who text me on occasion to get their packages, and there's been a few times I've needed a package retrieval assist from them.
These neighborly activities help everyone out except those darn Porch Pirates!
