Reporting on JP's Public Advisory Board Meeting 9/19/2024

In attendance at tonight's Jefferson Parish Planning Advisory Board (PAB) meeting were approximately 35 Old Jefferson neighbors and members of OJCA, and an equal number of Ochsner employees and associates.

The PAB allowed for a longer public hearing of Jefferson Parish Planning Department's dockets/cases: ES-177-23, EZ-23-23, and SP-23-24 (summaries below). These dockets/cases are Ochsner's requests to re-zone R1A residential properties that they own and revoke a portion of Betz Ave. 

We thank everyone for attending, speaking, and advocating for the preservation of our Old Jefferson neighborhood.

Jefferson Parish Planning Department recommended approving Ochsner's requests.

However, the PAB's recommendation to the Parish Council is to deny Ochsner's requests.
